Phinney’s has a new Holiday tradition: Holiday shopping for a cause!
The Pierce House Mansion in Lincoln opens its doors every year in November, decorated for the Holidays and filled with hot chocolate, cookies, popcorn, live music, Holiday baskets, unique arts and crafts, silent auction items and pet supplies.
That is our moment to celebrate the Holiday season with friends, family and neighbors, and solving people’s needs for shopping for Thanksgiving and Christmas time. The mansion is dog-friendly and we also have activities for children, so the whole family can have fun.
Santa is available for pictures with families and their dogs. The festival also offers items handmade by Phinney’s volunteers, opportunities to sponsor pets for the next year and purchase pet supplies for a bargain.
Phinney’s Ride, one of our biggest fundraisers, is a non-competitive, 150-mile bike ride to support the Phinney’s Ride Fund, which helps pet owners in Massachusetts living with HIV or AIDS keep their pets.
This fun event happens every odd year, in the fall. A small group of bike riders, lead by veterinarian Dr. Roger Peduzzi, DVM, start in Stow, MA. They cruise all the way to Fitzwilliam, NH, stopping several times to rest, re-energize with food and water along the way. When they arrive in NH, the group has dinner and spends the night in a cabin in the woods. That covers 75 miles! The next day, they all come 75 miles back to Stow, with several stops and lots of anticipation!
Every rider is asked to raise at least $500 to Phinney’s Friends. But the sky is the limit, of course! Would you like to join this fun group and ride your bike for Phinney’s? Please contact us! Our next ride is in September 2019.
